Wyre Forest Green Alliance
United For A Better Future
WFGA Membership
Membership is open to any organisation with a commitment to encourage
environmental sustainability and community involvement. This includes local
groups, branches of larger organisations, faith groups, local Councils and
environmentally conscious businesses.
What Wyre Forest Green Alliance can offer its members
- Regular workshops and discussion events (currently online but hopefully in
future, at venues within Wyre Forest District).
- Quarterly members meetings for representatives of your organisation to
discuss environmental issues of common concern (when Covid restrictions permit).
- Monthly newsletter packed full of information and initiatives of local and
national concern which you are asked to pass on to members of your organisation.
- A Facebook page which you can use to promote your
organisation’s relevant activities, projects and events to other members of
the Alliance and the wider public.
- Links from the WFGA website to your website or Facebook page (if
appropriate)
- Opportunities for your organisation and its members to participate in
events such as Greener Living Fairs, Sustainability Festival and environmental activities (eg tree planting, litter picks etc.)
What we ask of member organisations
- To nominate up to 3 members of your organisation to represent you and
be points of contact.
- To forward the monthly newsletter and other important information to all your members
- To support the Wyre Forest Green Alliance Purposes, Aims and Principles
see here
- Be willing to share information and experiences with other groups for mutual benefit
- To publicise your membership of WFGA by using the WGFA logo on your
website and other social media (if appropriate) including links with the
WFGA website.
- Allow us to include details of your organisation on this website.
How to join as an Organisation
First of all download
the One Planet Principles document, which we have adopted as a way of defining the WFGA ethos, to check check how your organisation contributes to our objectives.
If you feel your organisation generally fits in with some of these then download the WFGA Membership Application docx which you can modify and return to wfgall@protonmail.com with Membership Application as the email Subject (ie. header) and we'll get back promptly. Please also attach your organisation's or business's logo if you have one.
How to join as a WFGA Supporter
First of all download
the One Planet Principles document, which we have adopted as a way of defining the WFGA ethos, to check that you are in tune with our objectives.
If you feel you are in agreement with all of this then simply email us at wfgall@protonmail.com with Supporter Application as the email Subject (ie. header) asking to be added to the Supporter email list. As a Supporter you'll receive the monthly online newsletter and you'll be able to attend workshops. We'll not share your email with 3rd parties and not bombard you with emails - usually you'll receive only the newsletter.
If possible please tell us a little about your interest in becoming a WFGA Supporter.
There is currently no charge for being a Member or Supporter as we have few outgoing costs (most meetings are currently online) and WFGA work is done on a volunteer basis.
