1. all six dancers prod the ground twice with their sticks (as if digging a hole to plant beans) 2. clash sticks with partner 3. prod the ground twice 4. dancer 1 passes the stick tapping around the set in a counter-clockwise direction (1-3-5-6-4-2). 5. when the tapping has been all around the set, clash with partners. |

Dance clockwise halfway round the set (even numbers turn out). CHORUS TWICE Dance across into partner's place, passing on the right shoulder.Turn clockwise to face him and clash sticks. Dance back to place, again passing right shoulders. Clash sticks. CHORUS TWICE Dance back-to-back with partner, passing him by the right shoulderClash sticks. Dance back-to-back by the left shoulder. Clash sticks. CHORUS TWICE Dancer 1 turns out and dances to dancer 5's position, passing between 3 and 5 on the way.Clash sticks with partner. Dancer 1 moves back to starting place by turning out, passing between 3 and 5. Clash sticks with partner. [Number 5's track in the hey is the reverse of number 1's. He dances to number 1's position, passing between numbers 1 and 3, then back to place. Number 3 follows number 1 throughout.
